According to multiple national reports, the NCAA Division I Council voted on Wednesday to approve voluntary athletic activities for football, men's basketball and women's basketball to start on June 1.
That ruling will allow Missouri State to proceed with its plan to open athletics facilities beginning in the first week of June.
MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats told the Board of Governors in last week's meeting that the plan was to open athletic facilities the first week of June while expecting the NCAA Division I Council to rule the way it did.
