The majority of the 10,828 fans at JQH Arena on Saturday night were there to see Sierra Canyon but to Paul VI, it didn't matter.
The Panthers had a major chip on their shoulder from losing to the Trailblazers the month before.
With its mind on making a statement, Paul VI did just that and came away with a 72-65 win over Sierra Canyon (California) in front of the biggest crowd in Tournament of Champions history.
"To lose to them recently and fight like that and get that one back, it shows how much we fight and how much we really buy into what the coaches have been saying," tournament MVP and Michigan signee Dug McDaniel said.
