Transportation officials are seeking the public’s input regarding a rather large project.
The Ozarks Transportation Organization, or OTO, may adopt a new regional plan that includes a goal of funding 45 miles of new trails by 2045 at its upcoming May 20 meeting.
Senior Planner Andy Thomason spoke with the News-Leader about the public comment period, which is open through 5 p.m. May 19.
The organization’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee spent the past year thinking about the future while setting their expectations for what the region’s trail system will look like in 2045. The end goal is to support the development of trails that connect communities with continuous linked trails.
