The JROTC rifle team at Ozark High School took first place in two divisions during the Missouri State Championship.
The team took home first place in both the Sporter and Precision divisions while also setting a new school record at MSU's Missouri Military Academy on Jan. 30, according to a news release from the school district.
The rifle team competed as three teams: Sporter Team 1, Sporter Team 2 and Precision Team. Each brought back trophies. Sporter Team 1 and Team 2 took first and second place, respectively, and the Precision Team placed first. Overall, the Ozark Rifle Team placed as follows:
Sporter Division:
- Overall - Sporter Team 1, first place; Sporter Team 2, second
- Cadet Elijah Glenn - First, Individually
- Cadet Rachael Hartzell - Second, Individually
- Cadet Katie McCall - First, New Shooter Category
Precision Division:
- Overall - First place
- Cadet Brody Baumann - First, Individually
- Cadet Karly McCall - Second, Individually
- Cadet Michael Browning - Third, Individually
