Ozark finishes off Strafford, will face Kickapoo in Blue Division final

Shortly following the biggest scoring night of his career, Riley Simmons had already moved on.

Simmons poured in a career-high 29 points as Ozark dismantled Strafford, 71-36, in a Blue Division semifinal game Tuesday night at JQH Arena.

“(I’ve) never been close (to scoring 30),” he said and laughed off one of his rare misses on the night. His final shot attempt, a free throw, was left well short. “I knew it was short right when I shot it but didn’t know I was going for 30.”

Simmons buried a three-pointer on Ozark’s first possession, the first of seven treys for the Ozark senior.
