SAN ANTONIO — The Lady Bears survived and they will advance.
Fifth-seeded Missouri State (22-2, 16-0) will advance to the second round of the 2021 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament after a 70-51 win over 12th-seeded UC Davis on Monday night at Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio.
Missouri State will play 13th-seeded Wright State on Wednesday. The Raiders came away with one of the tournament's biggest upsets when they knocked off No. 4 seed Arkansas 66-62 on Monday afternoon in Austin, Texas.
The Lady Bears advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in their second-straight appearance and it didn't come easy.
