The Bears followed up last week’s blowout win over Southwestern College with a 28-22 win over the FCS Ohio Valley’s Murray State Racers (0-2).
Running back Calan Crowder’s 16-yard touchdown run with 6:25 left in the game sealed the deal for the Bears while they were able to hold off the Racers for just three points the rest of the game.
A complete game by both the offense and the defense kept the Bears in control, as the Bears didn’t trail at any point.
The Bears offense was able to put up 449 yards of total offense with 154 of them coming on the ground, 97 of which belonged to Crowder.
