Relentless defensive pressure is the hallmark of Drury University’s 8-0 women’s basketball team.
“If you want to play for championships, your goal is to be dominant,” says coach Molly Miller.
Drury was certainly dominant Saturday afternoon in starting its defense of back-to-back titles in the Great Lakes Valley Conference — and in stating its case for climbing higher than its current eighth in the NCAA II poll.
The Lady Panthers made 29 steals, forced 38 turnovers and came within one point of tying a school record in smashing the Missouri S&T Miners 113-61 at O’Reilly Family Event Center.
