KANSAS CITY — In the Bears' first real test of the Dana Ford era, Missouri State wasn't able to keep up with a nationally-ranked team from Nebraska.
Missouri State (3-1) lost 85-62 to the No. 24 Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-0) on Monday night at the Sprint Center in Kansa
The Bears will play the loser of a late Monday night matchup between Southern California and Texas Tech. MSU plays the loser Tuesday at 6 p.m.
MSU hung in early but the Cornhuskers were too overwhelming for an inexperienced team. The loss is Ford's first as the head coach of the Bears.
