Less than 24 hours after a come-from-behind victory over No. 12 Maryland, the Lady Bears had a letdown game.
No. 24 Missouri State (2-1) fell 68-59 to Wake Forest (2-1) in their final games at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Fort Myers, Florida, on Sunday afternoon.
The loss follows the Lady Bears coming back from down 16 to top Maryland on Saturday evening. MSU will open its season at JQH Arena this upcoming Saturday against Tulsa.
Missouri State looked like it was going to run away with Sunday afternoon's matchup when it scored two seconds into the game and found itself up 12-2 early in the first quarter.
