CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — It wasn't the Lady Bears' prettiest game of the season, but great teams are sometimes able to win on the road in ugly fashion.
And Missouri State has proved to have a great team.
The No. 19 nationally-ranked Lady Bears (19-3, 9-1) defeated Northern Iowa (13-8, 5-5) in a 66-55 victory on Friday night at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Missouri State is now the winner of five straight games as it sits alone atop the Missouri Valley Conference. An important road game awaits the Lady Bears on Sunday when they play second-place Drake.
