DES MOINES, Iowa — In a game that came down to the wire, the Missouri State Lady Bears held on in the end.
The No. 19 nationally-ranked Lady Bears (20-3, 10-1) came away with a thrilling 89-83 victory at Drake (16-7, 8-3) at the Knapp Center on Sunday afternoon.
Missouri State jumped ahead by double-digits quickly when it went on an 11-0 run to take a 15-5 lead. Abby Hipp scored the first four points of the run while Jasmine Franklin added the final two when she was left alone underneath the basket with 4:25 left in the opening quarter.
