For the second-straight season and 14th time in program history, the Missouri State Lady Bears reign supreme in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Jasmine Franklin scored a team-high 14 points and three others reached double-figures as Missouri State cruised to a 67-55 victory over Southern Illinois at Banterra Center on Wednesday night and clinched the MVC regular-season title.
“Just happy that we clinched a championship today,” Lady Bears head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton said during the post-game radio show.
“To be able to clinch another championship in a year that was filled with so much adversity and uncertainty — is something to be proud of and I’m really proud of our squad.
