A deep and disciplined Gonzaga team proved too much for the Lady Bears on Friday evening in Spokane, Washington.
The No. 18 Bulldogs ultimately pulled out the 64-52 victory over No. 17 Missouri State.
A back-and-forth affair kept things close into the closing seconds of the first half, with Gonzaga taking a 27-22 lead into the break.
But the third quarter saw the Bulldogs pull away, as Gonzaga outscored Missouri State 22-12 in the frame.
Missouri State struggled to find opportunities on offense all night. Only Brice Calip, 15, and Alexa Willard, 13, reached double figures in scoring for the Lady Bears as the team shot 34 percent from the field.
