It wasn’t pretty.
In fact, it was downright sloppy and rusty-looking at times for the Lady Panthers.
But, top-ranked Drury University gritted out a 80-68 victory on Monday night over a Minnesota-Duluth team that definitely matched its Bulldogs nickname.
The positive result -- and 43rd straight regular-season victory -- was in doubt for Drury until the final minutes at O’Reilly Family Event Center. The score was tied eight times, including at 34 at halftime and at 54 after three quarters.
And M-D led 62-59 after Ann Simonet’s 3-pointer from the top of the key with 6:02 left.
