Nixa won its first district championship since 2016 by beating Republic 6-2 in the Class 6, District 6 title game on Thursday night in Republic.
Tied at two heading into the top of the seventh, the Eagles scored four runs in the top half to pull away for the win. Jack Edwards drove in two runs with a bases-loaded single before a sacrifice fly brought an additional run home.
A Tanner Grant double gave the Eagles their last bit of insurance before Nixa closed it out in the bottom half for the district title.
Collin Kelly earned the win for the Eagles by throwing five innings and allowing no runs and just three hits.
