The Missouri Valley Conference Tournament for women’s basketball has been played in Moline, Illinois, for one season.
There’s one Missouri Valley Conference team that remains unbeaten in Moline.
That’s something Missouri State can take as a dose of confidence into the tournament, which will begin Thursday at The iWireless Center on the banks of the Mississippi River.
The Lady Bears stormed through the competition last March as the tournament’s third seed, defeating Indiana State in the quarterfinals, No. 2 Drake in the semifinals and No. 1 Northern Iowa in the championship.
Many of the names are different, with Tyonna Snow, Kenzie Williams and Hillary Chvatal gone to graduation.
