A vocal and growing group of Missouri State men's basketball fans is calling for a change at head coach. But despite a lackluster showing for the Bears this season, a big performance at Arch Madness could turn Paul Lusk's seat from blistering hot to refreshingly cool.
A clause in the contract extension Lusk signed after the 2013-14 season reads: “If the University’s Men’s Basketball team competes in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament during the term of this Employment Agreement, Mr. Lusk will have the option to extend this Employment Agreement (on the terms and conditions then in effect) for a term of five years from May 1 of the year of such tournament.
