SAN ANTONIO — Only 10 head coaches were named finalists for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's NCAA Division I National Coach of the Year award — and one of them is on Missouri State's sideline.
Amaka Agugua-Hamilton was announced as one of the 10 coaches who made the final list with North Carolina State's Wes Moore being announced as the winner.
"Coach Mox" was considered amongst some of the biggest names in all of women's college basketball including Moore, Baylor's Kim Mulkey and South Carolina's Dawn Staley among others.
Agugua-Hamilton was named the Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year for the second year in a row after winning the 2020 WBCA Rookie Coach of the Year.
