On Tuesday, the NCAA released the Academic Progress Rate report for the 2018-19 academic year and updated multiyear scores. While Missouri State was at the bottom of the Missouri Valley Conference in two of its major sports, there is a catch and a sign of improvement for both of them.
The men's basketball team saw its MVC-low multiyear score drop from 941 to 938 (out of 1,000) but that's mainly because a strong 979 score fell out of the equation. The last four seasons contribute to the multiyear score.
The Bears' score is dinged mostly by an outlier due to a coaching change.
