Missouri State freshman forward Szymon Wojcik is expected to miss the remainder of the season after an MRI this week revealed a Lisfranc tear in his left foot.
The Lisfranc is a ligament that runs between two bones called the medial cuneiform and the second metatarsal. The injury will require surgery, which will likely end his season.
“We hate to lose anybody, especially someone with the character of a Szymon Wojcik,” head coach Dana Ford said in a release. “We know he will return better than ever, and we will see who will step up in his absence.
