Missouri State will be Valley champs if it wins its 2 games this week. Here's why.

If Missouri State wins its next two games, it will be the Missouri Valley Conference champions in its first season under head coach Dana Ford.

That was made possible with both Illinois State's victory over Drake and Southern Illinois' win over Loyola on Sunday afternoon.

With two games remaining, the trio of Missouri State, Drake and Loyola are all tied atop the conference at 10-6.

Missouri State finishes its season with a road game at Illinois State on Wednesday and a home matchup with Drake on Saturday afternoon in the season finale.
