An 8-4 loss to Illinois State on the road May 19 ended an 18-game Missouri Valley Conference winning streak for the Missouri State baseball team.

Missouri State (37-15) holds the top seed in the Missouri Valley Conference postseason tournament and will play its opening round game Wednesday at Hammons Field.
