Missouri State announced Wednesday morning that sophomore guard Mustafa Lawrence will transfer away from the university while Abdul Fofana will redshirt this upcoming season.
Fofana was one of two players injured during a whole-body cryotherapy incident on Jan. 22 that forced him to sit out the final 12 games of the 2017-18 season.
“For Abdul, getting him back to 100 percent physically is our top goal for this season,” Bears head coach Dana Ford said in a press release.

Both Fofana and former Bears forward Reggie Scurry suffered severe foot blisters in January, which ended their seasons.
