Missouri State slugger Dakota Kotowski has signed a professional contract with the Philadelphia Phillies, the school announced on Tuesday night.
Kotowski went undrafted during this week's MLB Draft. Missouri State anticipated losing him either to the late rounds of the draft or quickly after him to undrafted free agency.
Kotowski has one of the more powerful bats of any draft-eligible players in this season's draft. He's a 6-foot-5, 245-pound monster in the batter's box and is a threat to hit a bomb any time he connects.
The senior enjoyed his best season as a Bear after bouncing back from a down year.
