The Bears didn't need a miracle shot at the buzzer to win this one.
Missouri State (14-12, 8-5) remains in second place in the Missouri Valley Conference after dominating Evansville 68-56 Wednesday night at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
The Bears shot 73.9 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes and took an 18-point lead into the half while the second half wasn't nearly as pretty. The win is Missouri State's third straight victory and its sixth of the last seven.
If Loyola were to lose Wednesday night at Bradley, the Bears could move into a tie for first place in the conference if they were to beat the Ramblers on Sunday afternoon in Chicago.
