Future Missouri State and Mizzou football players that are in elementary school can start smack talking — they have a game scheduled against each other 12 years from now.
The Bears and Tigers recently agreed to play a football game on Sept. 3, 2033, according to game contracts recently obtained by the News-Leader via Sunshine Law. Mizzou will pay Missouri State a $550,000 guarantee payment for the game.
The game takes place four years after the Bears and Tigers' next scheduled game for Sept. 1, 2029. That game also carries a $550,000 guarantee payment.
Missouri State and Mizzou's most recent matchup on the football field came in 2017 when the Tigers beat the Bears 72-43 in a game that featured 1,307 yards of total offense.
