Missouri State is going to have an uphill climb if it is going to make a success out of a disappointing season.
The Bears fell to No. 1 seed Dallas Baptist 1-0 on Wednesday in the opening round of the double-elimination portion of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in Normal, Illinois.
In addition, Missouri State (20-35) set a new program low for most losses in a single season.
With the loss, the Bears now face elimination in the loser's bracket. They will play the loser of Wednesday afternoon's game between Illinois State and Southern Illinois. The game will be played at 11 a.
