Missouri State announced head volleyball coach Melissa Stokes has resigned following an investigation into the program.
The announcement comes after an independent investigation by Spencer Fane LLP found that NCAA violations occurred within the volleyball program.
Violations included allowing a non-qualifier to accompany the team during a foreign tour without personally paying for all costs associated with the tour and allowing currently enrolled athletes to participate as campers in Stokes' volleyball camps.
