Missouri State legend Jackie Stiles revealed during a radio interview that she did pursue the Lady Bears head coaching vacancy before the university hired Amaka Agugua-Hamilton.
"I did pursue it and Missouri State went in a different direction," Stiles said in a radio interview with Art Hains. "I understand things happen for a reason."
Stiles is no longer on the Missouri State coaching staff after accepting an assistant coaching job at the University of Oklahoma.
