Missouri State led Little Rock 54-53 heading into the final quarter of play during Tuesday’s season opener at Little Rock. The Lady Bears outscored the Trojans 22-9 in the fourth quarter to secure a 76-62 win.
“I knew it was going to be a dogfight coming in,” Missouri State head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton said. “They are a very well-coached team. They are very athletic and physical. Everybody is going to give us their best shot, it’s always going to be that way.”
Cleveland State transfer Mariah White led the way with a historic debut for the Lady Bears.
