When the Lady Bears decide they want to play at a different level defensively, there aren't many teams that are going to be able to hang with them.
Missouri State (2-0) played at that level throughout the second half and came away with clutch baskets en route to a 56-50 victory over North Texas (2-1) on Sunday afternoon at JQH Arena.
North Texas entered the game scoring 93 or more points in their first two games. Against the Lady Bears, the Mean Green shot under 33 percent.
It wasn't easy for Missouri State as it went into halftime down two after a poor shooting second quarter, but the Lady Bears came out in the third quarter and played at another level.
