In Missouri State's first game without star senior Jasmine Franklin, the Lady Bears showed they're still capable of playing a high level defensively while winning its 20th-straight conference game.
The Lady Bears (10-2, 1-0) dominated defensively in a 55-38 win over Loyola Chicago (8-4, 0-1) on Friday afternoon at JQH Arena.
The game was the Lady Bears' first without Franklin who tore her ACL during their final non-conference matchup. She entered that game as the reigning MVC Defensive Player of the Year and the nation's second-leading rebounder while averaging a double-double per game.
