The downfall of the Missouri State Lady Bears after their first loss of the season was greatly exaggerated.
Missouri State (3-1) bounced back from its loss to Oklahoma State with a 67-41 beatdown of Southern California (3-1) on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
The coast-to-coast victory was aided by the Lady Bears' two stars in Brice Calip and Jasmine Franklin — with Calip having her best game of the season.
Calip, who had just 10 points in the previous two games combined, had 15 in the first half before finishing with 22. The reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year had her best game of the season and set the tone for the Lady Bears early.
