The Lady Bears' season isn't over just yet.
Missouri State will play in the WNIT on Wednesday in Lincoln, Nebraska, against the Cornhuskers at 6 p.m.
On Friday, the Lady Bears lost 73-70 in the quarterfinal round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament to Drake, the eventual champion.
The WNIT appearance is the Lady Bears' ninth in the school's history and their first since 2017-18. This is the first season since 2018-19 that Missouri State didn't qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
Missouri State has qualified for a postseason tournament each year since 2014-15.
