Missouri State started its climb back up the Missouri Valley Conference standings with a 62-58 win at Indiana State on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Bears used the nation's fourth-ranked scoring defense to limit the Sycamores throughout the game. Indiana State finished the game shooting 36.7 percent when it had shot 40 percent or better in all contests but two entering the game.
However, the Lady Bears took a step back from their best offensive game of the season against Evansville on Thursday. They finished the game shooting 35.8 percent — which is on par with what has plagued them for the majority of the season.
