Missouri State football's non-conference matchup with Tarleton State is off.
Tarleton State, who is in its first year in FCS and is not affiliated with a conference, announced it was moving its football season to the spring. It notified MSU on Monday that it was calling the game off, an MSU spokesperson told the News-Leader.
"The health and well-being of our student-athletes, as well as our fans, staff and all the students of Tarleton State University, has always been our top priority," Tarleton Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Lonn Reisman said in a release.
"This is not an easy decision to make," he continued.
