On a balmy Saturday in March, Bears’ football fans flocked to Plaster Stadium for the most unique Missouri State spring game in program history.
Beautiful weather was the only treat for the maroon-and-white faithful however, as No. 6-ranked North Dakota State scored 18 points in the second quarter, pounded the Bears for 272 rushing yards and cruised to a 25-0 win.
“We got beat by a really good football team,” Bears’ head coach Bobby Petrino said. “They came in and ran the ball against us and we gave up a couple of big ones – they hurt.
