NORMAL, Ill. — Missouri State prides itself in being a team that rises to the occasion in the second half, and it did so again on Saturday afternoon.
No. 17 Missouri State (3-1, 2-0) separated itself in the final 30 minutes for a 41-20 win over Illinois State (2-3, 0-2) at Hancock Stadium in Normal, Illinois.
The Bears had a one-point lead going into halftime but they came away with a pair of big interceptions in the third quarter — including a pick-six — that led to the Bears pulling away for their third-straight win.
