Missouri State finally snapped out of its losing streak and it did so in a big way.
The Bears (3-5, 1-4) routed a depleted Western Illinois (0-8, 0-5) squad with a 64-14 win on a homecoming Saturday afternoon at Plaster Stadium. It was the Bears' largest margin of victory since opening day in 2016 when MSU defeated Southwestern College 57-0.
A blowout from the beginning, the Bears scored on 11 of their 13 drives, including their first 10, which included a 45-7 lead at the half. Western Illinois came into the game with 52 of its 114-player roster inactive.
