Missouri State played its best game of the season on Saturday when it put together a 41-20 road win at Illinois State — and it looked dominant while doing so.
The Bears' offense clicked all the way around — highlighted by career games from starting quarterback Jason Shelley and running back Tobias Little. The offensive line continues to improve and MSU also got standout performances from Kevon Latulas and Jordan Murray.
Defensively, the Bears allowed a few big plays in the first half, but they responded after halftime with their second consecutive second-half shutout. The defensive front, led by Eric Johnson, set the tone against the run and the Bears were able to create big plays in the final 30 minutes.
