FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — When Missouri State last played Arkansas in 2011, Bobby Petrino was the head coach of the Razorbacks and held a 30-0 lead over the Bears at halftime.
On Saturday evening, Petrino made his first appearance in Fayetteville since the infamous scandal that got him fired. And his Missouri State Bears have a lead at halftime.
FCS No. 5 Missouri State leads FBS No. 10 Arkansas 17-14 at halftime. The Razorbacks are paying the Bears $450,000 for the game.
The Bears capitalized off two rare Arkansas turnovers in the second quarter to take the early lead.
