Missouri State (2-4, 2-1) topped No. 21 South Dakota with a 27-24 victory Saturday afternoon in Vermillion, South Dakota.
The Bears travel to Northern Iowa for a 4 p.m. game on March 20. Their next home game is scheduled for March 27 against Southern Illinois.
More than halfway through the first quarter, Missouri State went three-and-out deep in its own territory. South Dakota returned the ensuing punt 20 yards to the Bears' 40-yard line.
