To the few who braved the weather and were in attendance on Wednesday night, fans saw Missouri State go back and forth with Illinois Chicago in one of the least pretty games you'll ever see.
But after Missouri State (11-10, 7-4) got a few clutch shots down the stretch in a 63-59 over bottom-tier Illinois Chicago (9-13, 1-10), Bears head coach Dana Ford found the beauty in what he saw.
"They're all pretty wins," Ford said. "We did some things late that we haven't always been doing but that's just a grind-out Valley win so I'm really proud of the guys.
