One of the best Missouri State men's basketball regular seasons over the last two decades concluded on Saturday afternoon in Evansville with the Bears winning 88-79.
Missouri State also got the help it needed around the league to rise to the second-seed at next week's conference tournament in St. Louis.
The Bears will play on Friday at 6 p.m. against the winner of Thursday's play-in game between No. 7 Valparaiso and No. 10 Evansville — both teams MSU swept during the regular season.
A win on Friday would put the Bears in the semifinals against the winner of Drake and Southern Illinois.
