This story will be updated

Missouri State won't go into Arch Madness on an eight-game winning streak after losing a game that didn't matter all that much to the Bears.

MSU (16-6, 12-6) dropped its regular-season finale in a 72-63 loss to Evansville (9-14, 7-9) on Saturday night in Evansville, Indiana.

The Bears were locked into the No. 3 seed heading into Saturday's game. They will Friday at 8 p.m. in the quarterfinal round at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament in St. Louis.

The Bears' opponent will likely be Valparaiso — who the Bears swept during the regular season with 81-68 and 78-68 wins in northwest Indiana.
