Missouri State head coach Dana Ford is going to have to fill an assistant coaching job heading into the 2020-21 season.
Assistant coach Jake Headrick is leaving the Bears' basketball program to become the associate head coach at Samford.
Headrick coached six seasons at Samford before joining Ford's staff in 2018-19. The Samford basketball program recently hired Bucky McMillan as its new head basketball coach.
This will be the first time in Ford's career at Missouri State that he will have to fill an assistant coaching position.
It is unclear how quickly Missouri State will be able to fill its assistant coaching void.
