STILLWATER, Okla. — After a few down years for Missouri State baseball, Drake Baldwin wanted nothing more than to help the program get back to what it once was.
The Bears had made it to the NCAA Tournament three times over a four-year stretch but then went two full seasons without a postseason appearance.
A 2019 season saw them finish 16 games below .500 and then followed with another losing season in 2021 in which they went one-and-done at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Both teams had some of the rougher offenses in the program's storied history.
