Nothing was working for Missouri State as it dropped its first game of the season.
The Bears lost 16-4 to the Nevada Wolf Pack on Friday afternoon in San Marcos, Texas.
In his first start as Missouri State's starting Friday pitcher, Kickapoo product and junior pitcher Logan Wiley struggled from the opening pitch.
Nevada third baseman and leadoff batter Joshua Zamora started the game with a leadoff single down the leftfield line. He was advanced to second after Wyatt Tilley's single the following at-bat.
Zamora scored from third on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Kaleb Foster to put the Bears in an early 1-0 hole.
