Missouri State baseball begins its run in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Wednesday night as the league's No. 2 seed in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The Bears didn't know their opponent before the News-Leader's print deadline. The 6:30 p.m. opponent will be the highest seed to win on Tuesday — No. 5 Murray State, No. 6 Illinois Chicago or No. 7 Belmont. The Bears were a combined 8-1 against the three during the regular season.
Missouri State will need to win the tournament to secure a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year. An at-large bid is out of the picture this season.
